Alice had heard the stories about pirates of old. The ship that approached hers reminded her of them. Despite being a nineteen year old young woman she was unafraid. It was nothing like, say, fighting the Jabberwocky or being face to face with the Red Queen or Stayne. So while her crew may have panicked, she readied herself for battle.
How long had it been since Captain Jack Sparrow found the fountain of youth? He'd thought eternal life would be fun. The world was beginning to change, and with the exception of Will and Barbossa (Who was always finding some way not to die), most of his friends had died.
"Well captain?" Did Pintel and Raghetti count as friends really? Jack the Monkey certainly didn't. Those three happened to be there when he found the fountain. Mr. Gibbs had chosen not to join. Ah. There was Tia Dalma he supposed.
"Captain?" Pintel repeated. He was constantly picking up a new crew these days. Piracy was getting scarce, so he did well.
"It's a merchant ship." Jack summed up as he pulled out his telescope. "Not to armed..." He paused to rub his eye. Had a girl been standing on the mast head? A girl with a sword? He looked again. "And a fiesty lady captain. Arm yourselves men, be wary of the crew!"
Had her crew overall surrendered?
"Cowards!" Alice snapped as she made her way toward the pirates about to board. She stopped then, staring in surprise. It couldn't be him. He looked so different. But he moved the same insane way.
"Hatter."
"Ah, alright?" Jack had been sure he was in for a fight. While the girl still held here sword, she'd leaped across the remaining spaced. Now she was hugging him, like an old friend who she missed.
"I don't think I deserved this."
