Spike could feel that something was coming, but he couldn't tell what. The cool midnight air was blowing up into a gale of wind, and his long black cloak flowed behind him. His bleached blonde hair seemed even brighter in the pale moon light that filterd down on him. With a slight sigh he moved on, not even sure of where he was going.
It was hours later, and nearing sinrise when he arrived at a small cematary near the edge of town., Here he chose to rest himself within an ancient crypt. Within its cover he slept safely, soundly. until, near sundown, he heard a noise. It was like some kind of laughter. Musical, almost innocent laughter that he knew all to well.
He lept up from the place where he slept, his eyes scanning the rather large area of the crypt. "Who the hell is it?" With a growl, he dismissed the notion that was going through his head. "Ah bloody hell...I'm goin nuts. Damn slayer's drivin me insane." He lay back once more, trying to settle the anxious feeling in his stomach.
Only a few hours after the last rays of the sun dipped below the earth, he was up and about, prowling outside for whatever had disturbed him from his sleep earlier. He hoped it to be a demon, something he could make pay for it, silently cursing the chip in his head. But this night was not as clear. The sky was clouded and gray, and an ominous mist found its way into the small valley.
A shape, far away, moved like liquid, and he heard the laughter again. His heart jumped a little at the sight. "Dru...?" He whispered under his breath.
