Teen Titans aren't mine.

"Do you love me?"

But she didn't answer. Her eyes were staring deeply at his green eyes. Silently.

"Do you love me?" He asked again.

She tried to answer something. Anything. But no sound came out of her small, pale lips.

"Raven... do you?" He said, his hands firmly holded her wrists his eyes deeply staring at her's.

"I..." She tried to say, but she couldn't bring herself to say anything else. Even if she tried, words wouldn't come out. And she did try. She tried to tell him she loved him. That she wanted to be with him forever. That she cared about him more than she cared about herself. That she was sorry for everything. But she couldn't say it. Her lips wouldn't move, wouldn't pronounce any word, any letter.

She hated the struggle she had with herself. Normally, Raven was able to say what she thought with no titubation. And now? Now all she could pronounce was 'I'. Why couldn't she say the other two words? Was it that difficult?

"Raven, please tell me. Do you love me?"

Yes! Yes she did. Her mind yelled yes, her mouth only pronounced "Beast Boy..." A soft, silent moan, almost imperceptible.

His hands slowly loosened his grip, and his eyes softened with sadness. He thought, for a moment he thought she loved him as he loved her. He dreamed on hearing those sweet words that would change his life forever. At least a 'yes' would be perfect to make him happy forever.

"It's okay, I can't force you to" He said. His voice silent and hurted.

It was now or never. She had to do it. With all the braveness she could gather, she kissed him. It was soft and short at first, but when he kissed her back she couldn't ask for more. It was all she had to do, no necessity of words. It was all they needed to do, kiss each other gently.

Because a kiss can say what words aren't able to.

It's short, I know. But I liked it that way :)
