He couldn't help but smile. She was perfect in every way, this moment was perfect. He was so incredibly lucky to have her. It took ten years, but it was worth the wait. It was amazing how fast your life can change in a matter of weeks.
She looked angelic laying next to him, way too good for a science nerd. He knew she deserved better, but he was selfish and wanted her all to himself. His smile grew as he watched her sleep, in his bed, curled up next to him. Her blonde locks spread across the pillow, their faces so close he could feel her calm even breath on lips. He wanted to capture this moment and live in it for the rest of forever, but he knew that all good things have to come to an end. He sighed and removed himself from under the covers. She continued to lay peacefully. He turned and headed towards the bathroom, still smiling. He wouldn't change a thing.
She stirred at the loss of warmth. Slowly she opened her eyes, the other side of the bed empty. She softly sighed and got up to look for her clothes. She smiled when she saw his shirt. She picked it up and put it on, relishing in his smell. The shirt was big on her, but she felt it fit perfectly. She heard the shower running, and knew that he was getting ready for more magic training. Her smile grew when she thought about how stupid she was for not noticing him sooner. All that time, ten years, could have been spent with him, not with stupid guitar players and self absorbed singers that would use her and break her heart. She felt lucky. Lucky to have found him, lucky to be with him, just plain lucky. Her life has never been as good as it is now, and she wouldn't change a thing.
