Well, this is what results from boredom. Hope you like it!
You don't have to hush,
It's Ok to cry.
Even if your world falls apart,
I'll be standing by…
She seemed calm, acceptant as she fell. He caught her in his arms, his mind whirling. He should know her, he knew he should, but for some reason he couldn't place her face.
You don't have to be afraid,
I'll never leave your side.
I'll be your guardian evermore,
So don't be afraid to try…
Even though he couldn't recognize her, no matter how much he wracked his brain, he refused to leave. She was hurt, and, even though she'd told him it wasn't so, he felt like he was responsible. Then again, he knew he wouldn't have left, regardless.
You don't have to run,
If ever you feel alone.
Just call me up, I'll be there,
So you don't have to fight on your own…
She was talking to him, telling him of a dark plot by his leader. She asked him a favor, to free what they'd been working so hard to achieve. He wasn't sure he understood, but he felt - if that was even possible - that he'd do it, for her.
You don't have to yell,
To make sure that you're heard.
Whispers work just as well,
And I'll be listening to every word…
Her voice was quiet, slowly losing its strength. He held her tighter, his ears straining to catch her words. He knew the inevitable outcome, but he wasn't ready for her to leave yet.
You don't have to worry,
If ever you get lost.
I can be your northern star,
To guide you through the frost…
She placed her hand on his cheek as she told him to never forget. Even though she didn't say more, he got the sense that she'd lost her way. Somehow, he was the one who had managed to bring her back. And, suddenly, he remembered everything.
There are many things I could say,
To you about how I feel.
But, I've never been good at speaking,
So my lips will remain forever sealed…
"No! Xion, who else will I have ice cream with?" he cried as he caught her hand. The words themselves were not much, but, they had meaning to him. She was fading, quickly now, but he wasn't ready for her to leave. Not yet. The light of her essence filled the sky, while nothing was left behind of her but a single shell. He reached out, touching it gently with a gloved hand. "Xion," he whispered.
And, suddenly, a new determination filled him. I will free Kingdom Hearts. And then, everything can go back to normal. Right, Xion? He looked to the sky as tears slid down his face. For a moment, he thought he saw the faintest glimmer of light, sparking away from the orange glow of the sun. Then it vanished, leaving nothing, not even a memory, behind.
Just know that I'll always be here,
If you should ever need a friend.
You don't have to hush,
I'll be there to the end.
