A series of haikus for Donnie to tell her the story.

Will she ever see?
See that she's the only one.
She's just my April.

My brothers and I
Are going to fight Shredder
Allied with the Kraang.

April stays behind
I can't risk her getting hurt
I'd die before that.

Most everything hurts
This was the biggest mistake
We are not ready.

We're going to die.
All of us are chained up now
And he approaches.

He holds a weapon
While I am holding my breath
Waiting for the end

My only regret
I wasn't quite brave enough
I never told her

I'm closing my eyes
But my brothers still struggle
Fighting for escape.

A calm sense of peace
I want to get rid of it
I'm about to die.

Mikey will be first
He's on the left side of me
And then it's my turn

And then Raphael
Leo will watch all of them
That's possibly worse

I whisper, goodbye
Goodbye, goodbye, everyone.
I'll miss lots of things

A second has passed.
He stands before the youngest
He raises his sword.

No, please not Mikey
Please not my little brother
No, please not Mikey.

Shredder grimaces
A look of shock on his face
As he collapses

It happens quickly
But he falls in slow motion
I see a small glint

What did I notice?
Stabbed through his chest, a tessen.
The Shredder is dead.

I love her so much.
We all owe our lives to her.
My April killed him.

She unhooks the chains
And we retrieve our weapons
We all avoid the body.

"Come on, guys," she says.
"We should probably get home,"
The others agree.

But I don't follow
There's something I need to do
Before we all leave.

"You saved us," I say.
She glances down and responds.
"It was no big deal."

But it was, I think
As I pull her close to me
And my lips find hers.

So, little Ira,
That's the story you've asked for
The first time we kissed.

I hope you liked it
And remember her. She was
Amazing, your mom.

I really really really

Just want a review.
