The wizard ducked under the green light that was barrelling towards him before responding with a Blasting Curse which was shielded.

The battle had been raging on for a while and had now gathered quite an audience, hiding behind pillars and watching from the ground below. Though those watching below couldn't really see much, seems the fight was happening atop of the astronomy tower. One combatant was a well-built man of average height with a bushy but well-kept beard and short hair, both of pitch black. His most striking feature however was his emerald green eyes.

The man he was fighting did not look like a man. He was completely hairless, with no nose and slits for eyes that concealed red pupils. This was the day Lord Voldemort had invaded Hogwarts. He had killed his great foe Dumbledore when he first burst through the doors of the Great Hall and fired off a killing curse straight at the old Headmaster. From then on the battle was joined by both sides, with it being unclear who the eventual winner would be.

The reason it was unclear was mainly down to one man. Harry Potter. He had been the protégé of Dumbledore since the murder of his parents. The deaths of Lilly and James Potter had been one loss too many for Dumbledore, and that was the day he resolved they would fight, should it become necessary again. And he had adopted Harry as his own. And since then he had raised Harry to be the one to destroy Voldemort.

Harry had had training in many different areas from many different instructors. By the time he entered Hogwarts he could out duel most seventh years. He had protested at going, knowing how far ahead he was but Dumbledore had insisted. Besides, it was true that he was far ahead at combat magic, but he knew next to nothing about every day magic. But Harry was now in his sixth year He had fought Voldemort to a draw the summer before, and had defeated Dumbledore only a few weeks before in a practice duel. So it was with relish that he took the fight to Voldemort now.

And they duelled all through the school. From the Great Hall they had finally reached the top of the tallest tower, the astronomy tower. Two masked Death Eaters had been at Voldemort's side as they reached the top, as Harry had Professor Flitwick and Neville Longbottom at his. The two Death Eaters had been dispatched quickly, before Harry ordered the others to step back and leave Voldemort to him. They had duelled one on one for the last two minutes before Harry had sent the Blasting Curse which was blocked by Voldemort.

As he finished blocking the Blasting Curse, Voldemort conjured up a fiery snake that bore down upon Harry. Cool as a cucumber Harry transfigured the snake into daggers, and sent them back to Voldemort. Too focused on banishing the daggers, Voldemort didn't see the Disarming Charm Harry sent flying towards him. Voldemort was sent back, but managed to stay on his feet. His wand however, was sent flying from his hand and over the astronomy tower. Harry followed it up with a Cutting Curse to Voldemort's face to press his advantage before closing in on his opponent who looked defiantly at him.

"You cannot defeat me Potter. A wizard as powerful as me cannot be killed."

"Is that a bet Tom? Me and Professor Dumbledore have already destroyed your Horcruxes. The Diary, locket, ring, cup, diadem and Nagini was the first casualty on your side, as you saw. You are mortal Tom."

"This isn't possible! This is madness!"

"No Tom." Harry whispered before yelling at the top of his voice, "THIS IS HOWARTS!" And kicking Tom Marvalo Riddle in the chest and over the astronomy tower.
