The Beginning
I grab my bag and sprint across the pathway. I turn back and yell at my science partner, "Come one Madison. Hurry up!" I continue to run down the path, dodging the other students who suddenly stop to observe and record. I feel a buzz by me ear and I flinch. I stop running and watch my surrounding carefully. Bushes and tree's with different shades of green take up my sight. I look to my left and see a slow river with a tree hanging over it, like an umbrella.
"Yo bitch!" I hear someone say. I turn forward and find Anisha running towards me.
"What the hell do you want?"
"Calm your shit bitch. What did you put for question 5?"
"Are you stupid? Do you not have a brain? This is a deciduous forest stupid little shit."
"Are you on your period?" She asks chuckling.
"Mm."
She randomly bursts out into laughter so hard that a close flock of birds in the trees above fly in the opposite direction. it would be a WONDERFUL idea to take a trip to Australia to learn more about their forestry and I can honestly say, this has been the worst trip so far.
Suddenly, I felt a tremor run through the ground. I look up at Madison when suddenly I hear a loud siren blare from above. I feel a blast of wind coming down towards me and I look up to see a large plane hovering over the forest. I feel a pang in my stomach and I know something is terribly wrong. I see the bottom of the plane slowly slide open and a dozen black boxes fall towards us.
Another plane flies around the perimeter of the forest, dropping a metal fence with barbs along the top. I see a small black box land 100 yards in front of me, and it slides open. I see the silhouette of a bow and a quiver filled with 36 black arrows. I look around and see the boxes sliding open. Most having weapons, some having medicine or food. I begin to realize what I have to do and the outcome. I'm with my science class, closed off in an Australian forest.
"What's happening," I hear Faaria asks panicking. "What do we do?"
"There's 24 of us Faaria and only one comes out."
