Yamato was nervous, why was the brown haired ninja nervous? Well it all came down to it was very simple it was his lover's birthday and he forgot. Well…forgot was too harsh of a word more like he had been too busy babysitting his students to really plan anything.
But that gave him no excuse he should have had time to go shopping for her at least pick something out. He sighed a bit upset with himself. He was never a man to miss out dates, nothing important as this. Sighing again he passed on of Tsukiko's friend as she was buying a hair clip. He walked up to her hoping maybe she had an idea what his girlfriend would like for her birthday.
"Yuki," he spoke, the ebony hair girl as she finished her purchase.
She glanced up at him and smiled, "Afternoon Yamato- Sensei," She said, "have you anything planned for Tsukiko?" she had just bought the hair pin for her friend seeing how she felt the lovely violet purple would go will with her friends lovely with Tsukiko's wild red hair.
"That is the reason I need you," Yamato said shy like though his cheeks didn't turn red, more or less he had really scary look on his face. Yuki backed away a bit scared of his look and only smiled a bit, "I haven't picked out gift for her or planned anything yet,"
Yuki nodded, "um," She felt a hand on her back as Itachi glanced at Yamato.
"How about you take her to the moon festival?" Itachi said. He was planning on taking Yuki there today.
Yamato nodded at the thought of taking Tsukiko in kimono. His face lightens up a bit as he glanced at his friend, "any other suggestions?" he questioned. He wanted to make this day special after all it is was Tsukiko's birthday and she deserved to be treated like a princess. His heart fluttered at the thought of seeing her happy.
"Tsukiko likes white roses," she said, "treat her with some roses," her friend was simple enough to enjoy the simple things and she knew for a fact just being with Yamato would be just enough for her friend. Yamato nodded and waved good bye to the couple as he went looking for some white roses to buy.
Around the time festival night time had fallen Tsukiko was waiting for Yamato at the bridge he told her to meet. The soft orange kimono helped show of the beauty she had and the violet hair clip Yuki bought her pinned her hair in an elegant manner. It took hours to but it up Yuki helped her and she looked great.
She sighed and looked around at the many people. What as taking Yamato so long? She bit her lip as she saw the brown hair ninja approach her. He took her hand before she even said hello and began dragging her away.
"Yamato?" she questioned, "Where are we going?"
"It is surprise," he said dragging her further away from the festival. He soon to her to closed off area only light was lamps in the middle of the area was a round table with a bouquet of white rose, on the ground was soft layer of rose petals, "Happy birthday," he said.
Tsukiko blushed and kissed his cheek, "you know I would have been just happy with a simple birthday wish,"
Yamato smiled, "I know but it wouldn't of been as memorable," he led her to the table so they could enjoy her birthday meal.
