A Jealous Twin.

KaoruxHikaru

Disclamier: I do not own Ouran High School Host Club

Type: Yaoi, twincest.

Kaoru couldn't take the pain he felt anymore. He was breaking down from it, he was sure he was. Although, the last thing he wanted was to tell Hikaru of his troubling pain. Inside or out, Kaoru was sick.

"Kaoru, don't you want to come down for dinner..?" Hikaru offered, peeking in the door of thier shared room. "You didn't eat any lunch."

Kaoru, of course, objected as he had been doing the last few times within the hour. It was a real pitiful excuse, though. Yeah, he could of thought of another one.

The real one he wanted to say.

Oh, he wanted to say the real one oh so badly.

"Wouldn't you like to eat dinner with her, Hikaru?"

He regretted setting them up on that one small date, really he did. He never knew it would go so far as to the point of where Kaoru, Kaoru mind you, got jealous. It disgusted him, really it did. Seeing them walk out of the school, when no one was looking: holding hands like a happy, innocent couple. That was probably the thing that hurt him the most.

They use to hold hands.

They used to share drinks.

They use to spend all the time in the world together.

And they...were drifting apart.

"I'm not hungry." Kaoru insisted as Hikaru returned ten mintues later.

"You haven't eaten all day..."

"I'm on a diet."

"Kaoru..."

It gave the older of the redheads a very, very sick feeling as well. His brother, lying right to his face. He could see when Kaoru got changed in the morning, how his ribs were starting to show more and more, little by little. How he refused eating anything during the day until Mori or Kyouya, sometimes when he was eating with Haurhi, he even had to stuff it down his own brother's throat.

And at dinner, he refused to come out of the room. Really, Hikaru was sure that if they hadn't shared a room he might never see Kaoru.

Thier shows weren't even as full of life as they usually were.

"Kaoru, come on! You have to.." Hikaru rushed over, pulling his stubborn younger sibbling by his arm. "You have to eat!"

"I don't want to!" Kaoru protested, trying to struggle.

"Stop it! Your going to eat dinner!"

"NO! Stop it, Hikaru!"

"Not until you ea--"

And it happened, as soon as Hikaru had turned his head to properly scold Kaoru, Kaoru had lunged foreward to properly object (which meant attack) Hikaru, so he would let him go.

A result?

A small, sticking lip to lip kiss.

It wasn't suppose to happen. It was never suppose to happen, never would it happen. Indeed, as the fangirls had screamed,it was the forbidden brotherly love. And even if they both would never admit it, they were loving every mintue of it. And the small, feeble and broken Kaoru pulled back, only to feel the tears of his own pain wash down his cheeks.

Hikaru, as either a reaction to his tears or out of plain habit, pulled Kaoru close against his chest, struggling to stop weeping himself.

"K-Kaoru..."

"Hi-Hikaru..."

That night, it didn't matter. It didn't matter about school or being about brothers. It didn't matter about what people would think or what they would do. It didn't matter about Haruhi.

And because everything beside themselves didn't matter that night, they let themselves be in a blissful, peaceful world. No words were needed, all but three little ones were said.

Just. Three. Little. Words.

"I love you..."
