Me: Hi, everyone! So glad you're taking time out of your busy lives to read my story. Okay, so what we're going to do is, before the story every week, the characters are going to answer one or two questions from the readers.
Luke: We are? Is cool, is cool.
Percy: Alright, I'm ready.
Annabeth: Okay... *Looks around*
Grover: Fun!
Amaria: What ev, *Folds arms*
Me: So, on with the story.
~August 18, 2005 (Percy was 10)~
"Kya! Haah!" The glang of metal resounded through the camp as two campers, a boy with short, sandy blonde hair, and a girl with short (Girl short) pitch black hair, stood face-to-face, their sworts locked together in what appeared to be a battle to the death. "Give it up, Castellan, you'll never win." the girl said with a smirk, as she pushed against her sword and sent him tumbling backwards.
The boy, Luke Castella son of Hermes, just laughed and lunged again, only to be throw backwards. "Come on, Amaria, is that the best you've got?" The black haired girl, Amaria South and unclaimed demigod, simply shrugged.
"Depend; is that the you've got, Luke?" Luke laughed and lunged, catching the younger demigod off guard and pressing the training sword to her throat. Amaria just rolled her eyes and waited for him to get off of her. Once he did, Amaria stood and took the water one of the other campers brought her. "Thank's, Laney." Laney was a girl, five years old, from the Apollo cabin who had just arrived a few days before and refused to talk to anyone but Amaria. The little girl just smiled, "D'you wanna go with me and Lukey-"said boy just rolled his eyes at the childs name for him "-to the Big House? We're gonna go talk to Grover about a new demigod they're holding surveillance on." The girl nodded eagerly and clung to Amaria. She laughed and picked the little girl up, walking in. "Chiron, we're here," she called as she walked to the table.
"Hello, Amaria. Luke." He smiled warmly at the small child in Amaria's arms. "Hello, Laney." a wave.
"About the kid, Chiron..." Luke pressed immpatiently.
"Ah yes, his name is Percy Jackson. He's been showing some signs of being a demigod."
"Signs, like major or-"
"No, not at the moment, just minor things but enough for me to want you two to watch him." Amaria nodded.
"Yessir. When do we leave."
"Tomorrow, You, Luke and Annabeth will go to Chicago, where his current school Landon Academy is." Amaria felt a pang. She hated when Annabeth went with them because she was always flirting with Luke and it annoyed her to no end because, as a daughter of Athena, the girl should on a) that distracting them from the quest was a bad thing to do and b) he's way too old for her, but she didn't say anything. It wasn't her place. Without another word, she turned and headed to Hermes cabin to pack.
~End...for now~
Me: Okay, I know, a fail of a chapter. but it'll get better I swear. Now, I will tell you some info. unlike in the book, Luke is only four years older than Percy and Amaria is one year younger than Luke.
About Amaria's life: Doesn't know who her father is and her mother dropped her at camp on the same day Luke arrived and the two have been best friends ever since.
