Ezra is jealous. Of course he is. Aria is dating another guy. Andrew. "That's not even a good name." He thinks. "She said that she wanted to be single. She lied to me."

He was angry. Pissed off. He was trying to understand why Aria suddenly decided that she didn't love him anymore. He was sure that he had done everything for get her to forgive him. Everything. He took a shot, bite the bullet for her. He defended her like a shield when she was in danger because of –A. And Aria seemed like she was finally ready to forgive him. Ready to erase the past, come back to where they used to be.

And now, everything between them is just broken pieces of a thing that used to be beautiful. They are soulmates, but they will never be together again. And he still don't get it. He's confused. She's trying to get over from Ezra by hurting him.

Ezra hates the fact that he could never hate her. Even when she's just ripping his heart out of his chest. He's just so in love with Aria that he couldn't stay mad at her for long.

Now they're friends. Friends. That word is stuck on his head. No, he doesn't want to be her friend. He wants to be the person who is able to spend the rest of his life with her. And he can't. He won't. That is killing him, slowly. Not realizing that they're just friends.

The hard part where another stupid, hormonal, hunky, teen guy has the chance to be with her, to be with his Aria. The boy makes Ezra feel sick.

He's spending entire nights thinking about her, like a nocturnal creature who lives to regret everything that he has done for his whole life, or at least the last 2 years. Drunk, laying on the couch or the bed. Their bed, their couch. At their house. Home.

Ezra wants every memory to disappear, to slip away. But it won't. He's finally understanding that's she's never coming back to his arms once again. He made a mistake, and he will pay the price for the rest of his life.

But every day, even with the bigger hangover of the world, he stays there for her, stay loyal, as a friend does. Stays to answer all of her needs. Because the only thing he really needs in his life is her. ARIA.
