Jeanette's bad day
Jeanette had tried to go to sleep. She had so much energy, and had to go to sleep, but she couldn't. When she finally DID get to sleep, her alarm went off what seemed like five seconds later. She got out of bed, and saw Dave reading the paper. Jeanette got an idea. She walked like she was dizzy, forced herself to cough, and staggered up to Dave,
"Dave," she said in the best fake hoarse voice she could make, "I don't think I can go to school today, I'm sick." Dave shook his head,
"Jeanette," he said, "you just got done being sick, and now you are sick again? I'm not buying, now get ready for school."
"Okay," she said,
"This is the behavior that I would expect from Alvin or Brittany, but YOU Jeanette? Get your act together right now."
"Yes sir," she said. Jeanette tried to make toaster waffles, but being a beginner, she burned them, badly. She could not eat them. She was walking to Dave's car along side her sisters and their boyfriends, when Dave stumbled and spilt hot coffee all over her. It burned, and Jeanette screamed in pain,
"I'm so sorry Jeanette," said Dave. She had to take a cold bath in the sink, and used all of her sisters' shampoo. The day didn't get any better, if anything, it got worse. Dr. Rubin got on her case about being absent and then tardy, and refused to accept that Dave had spilt coffee on her, even by accident. The teachers were not teachers, but slave drivers, and gave extra homework than usual. The bullies took her bag, with her shoulders still in the straps, and she fell and hit the ground. No bones were broken, but she limped the rest of the day.
When the day was finally over, Alvin, Simon, Theodore, and Eleanor were having a free for all on Godzilla Unleashed, while Brittany criticized the game. Theodore was teaching her how to play and Simon and Alvin were duking it out, the winner would take Theodore, and then Eleanor. Dave and Clair wouldn't be home for an hour. Jeanette went to their room and cried. Boiling tears threatened to singe her furry face.
"Jeanette," asked a voice, "are you okay?" the voice wasn't that of Brittany or Eleanor, it was one of the boys. She looked; Simon had come to her. She looked into his blue eyes, full on concern for his counterpart,
"No," Jeanette sobbed, "I had a terrible day; I used all of my sisters' and my shampoo, and my fur STILL smells like coffee." She was shouting at this point, as she told Simon of her horrible day,
"Do you need a hug?" asked Simon. Jeanette agreed, and they hugged. Almost instantly, the pressure of the day seemed to melt away.
"Thanks Simon," she said, "I feel so much better," They decided to play a little of Godzilla, and Jeanette had always wanted to try it.
"I'm telling you, Theo," said Alvin, "Godzilla 2000 is paws down THE BEST monster there is in the game."
"No," said Theodore, "I think Mothra is,"
"You're just saying that because he's a giant butterfly." Jeanette and Simon teamed up on Alvin with Godzilla 1990's and handed his butt to him (meaning they beat him badly) Jeanette found it amazing how a few small acts of kindness can COMPLETELY make up for a bad day.
Something I want to point out. I put in Godzilla Unleashed because I just got done playing it. I have it for PS2 and the monsters move IN SLOW MOTION, but other than that it's fun.
