A/N: Hi there. Yet another poem from me. I was in a poetic mood. I came across the idea for this when I was watching FotR, the scene of the group just having left Moria after Gandalf fell. I saw the confused yet sad look on Legolas' face and found myself wondering what he was feeling, as the emotion of grief must be new to him. Therefore, I came up with this poem, which I hope makes sense to you. I hope you like it:-

I'm so confused, hurt inside

New emotions have hold of me

I've never felt like this before

Why won't the hurt let me be?

Elves are immortal, free from pain

No anger, hurt, nor fear

But why am I feeling things like this

When I lose somebody dear?

It was on the Bridge of Khazad-Dum

Gandalf the Grey, he fell

It caused me pain and anger

More grief than I can tell

Tears are new to me, strange to feel

I'm all tight, wound up inside

Who knew one death could hurt so much?

Something new that I cannot abide

Boromir was a mortal man

A true hero until the end

He died bravely, fighting evil

How many trials can Sauron send?

Two hobbits are missing, captured

Taken to places elsewhere

While Frodo and Sam continue

It's all too much to bear

I'm an elf, immortal and wise

And although I feel so low

I have to go on fighting

I can't let my feelings show

Two men have died within this cause

I'll carry on, honour their names

I'll keep on going until the end

Their deaths were not in vain
