Story: Love always Prevails

Sara sat in her room, her wounds still needing to heal. She sighed and flipped through channels, bored as usual. Next to her sat a vase full of roses. Her goal was to keep count on them, but she lost count after fifty. A knocking came to her door. She turned off the television and looked at the door. "Come in," She replied. The door opened and Yusuke entered. "Hi Yusuke. How are you?" She asked. Yusuke grinned and placed a bear on the table.

"It's from Kurama, he's sorry he couldn't make it today," Yusuke said, pulling a chair next to her and sitting.

"Oh? Why is that?" Sara asked, sitting up slightly.

"He's trying to find your mother. Do you know where she is?" Yusuke asked, placing a hand on her bed. Her cheerful smile faded on her face. She looked down at the blankets, burning tears stung the lower part of her eyes.

"My father . . . He ate her first . . . I guess . . ." Sara whispered, two tears falling down her face. Yusuke sighed and handed her a tissue. She lightly wiped below her eyes and looked up at him. "Are all demons like that? Torture people to get their souls?" Sara asked her eyes still glistened with her tears. Yusuke didn't know where to begin.

"Some, not all. Others beat the souls out of their victims. And others still eat the flesh with the soul. It's a complicated Job . . ." Yusuke said. Sara nodded her head in understanding.

"I wish to know of all the creatures you fight about . . . keep a little information booklet. Just for me . . ." Sara requested. Yusuke gritted his teeth.

"I'll have to ask Koenma . . . He's our boss," Yusuke grunted.

"I think its alright," a voice said, standing at the door way. Yusuke glanced over and almost jumped out of his seat.

"Don't do that!" Yusuke yelled. The Teenager walked in and glanced at the girl on the bed.

"You must be Sara . . . Sorry to hear about your father and Mother . . ." He said. Sara kept glancing at the letters Jr. printed on his forehead.

"Yeah . . . Are you Koenma?" Sara asked, her head tilting slightly. The teenager nodded, and glanced over at an older Teen next to him.

"This is Botan . . . My assistant . . ." Koenma said. Sara shook hands with the blue haired girl.

"Glad to meet you! Kurama hasn't stopped talking about you!" Botan greeted. Sara blushed slightly to hear Kurama talking about her.

"Well . . . I think I may have a job for you . . . But . . . The matter of finding somewhere for you to live is more important . . ." Koenma grunted. Botan leaned over and whispered in his ear, giggling after. The adolescent god seemed then to have an Idea. "You shall stay with us unless you can find a home here on earth . . ." Koenma nodded. Yusuke's Eyes and mouth opened wide.

"Are you kidding me?! Koenma!" Yusuke yelled. Sara glanced at him, then back at Koenma. She thought for a moment then nodded.

"I agree . . . it will be better than staying with Yusuke here . . .his mom will fuss over everything I do . . ." Sara said with a light grin. Koenma nodded then glanced to Yusuke. He sighed and nodded, knowing his job now was to get her there.
