Son, in my eyes is recognition of everyday you live.
Your heart is so burdened, but so quick to give.
You fear rejection every time they stare.
The laughter grows stronger and you wish to not be there.
A single taunt can crumble your tender spirit, putting out its flame.
My heart hurts with agony as you persecute yourself with blame.
To be a part of the Akimichi is to share the joys and sorrows that come with our 'big-boned' frame.
To learn to love how we were created, not be filled with despair or shame.
I wish for you to find true love in yourself and another. Love so deep that you never find yourself longing for the other.
Someone who will make you feel reassured and complete.
Some special person who will make you feel as if the world is at your feet.
May one day you soar over the clouds, keeping these truths in mind.
On the wings of my love and wisdom as you finally take pride in what others will find.
