Kodoku
(Loneliness)
Deidara was a lonely student at the time… He hated being alone, yet being alone was the only thing he wanted. Maybe it was that when he was around others, he would realize how lonely he was or that they all smiled, laughed and got angry for reasons he thought were pointless.
So, he'd always stay away from them, these… people. To him, they were quite annoying and didn't understand his art. Actually, they didn't care about his sculptures at all.
Dei didn't have any friends either, but he stopped caring nonetheless.
Pff… friends…Who needs them, un? Deidara thought to himself while working on his clay in his room.
The blond lived alone in a small apartment. Cheap, so it'd be easy to pay rent. He had a job at a food store in order to buy food and pay rent.
Though, the artist wasn't the only one that had to pay rent as a teen and take any job available to stay alive.
Sasori, a young ginger, smaller than average student had also lost his parents in a tragic way.
Unfortunately Deidara didn't know that just yet.
Alone, he worked.
Alone, he ate.
Alone, he studied.
Alone, he felt.
Pain, sorrow, regret, grief, anger… Everything was negative around him.
He had no dream.
No future.
No love.
No one loved him.
No one cared… He was in pain everyday and every night.
After work, he'd go to his room and elaborate his art.
Late, he would make himself some ramen and then take a shower.
That shower was the most comforting part of his day.
Cries.
Screams.
They would help him live another day. It emptied him.
He felt the tears fall and knew the screams came from him, but somehow he'd always fade away from himself and get lost in his mind. Forgetting where or what he was.
Alone, he slept.
No.
Alone he couldn't sleep.
Even in his last year of high school, his grades were getting worse. "Because you're not studying enough!" His teachers would say. But was that really it? Not enough studying? No. Because of loneliness? No. Because he was constantly tired.
He was falling asleep in class, becoming more and more like Naruto Uzumaki, the clown of the whole school.
Though… HE had friends.
HE wasn't alone!…
"How can I live like this?! Un…"
He shouted in his dark, silent room.
…
The next day, Monday, Deidara prepared himself for school.
"Only two months left, I guess, un…"
The artist said sadly, locking his place.
While walking his way down to the bus stop, the tall blond saw a new face. Of course he didn't bother asking who the stranger was, Deidara just thought it was some guy.
However, the lonely student couldn't stop looking in the stranger's direction.
The small boy had ginger hair and wore orange headphones. He looked like he was listening to good music and caught Deidara's interest. The ginger wore a dark red T-shirt under his slightly opened white shirt and beige pants. He also carried a blue computer bag. Maybe for his school stuff.
"I wonder if he always took the same route as me, and I never realized it? Hmm…"
Deidara was actually feeling excited for this.
But soon, he recognized the so called "stranger".
"…Un, why do I even bother thinking anymore… I never realized Sasori had always taken the same route as me."
Deidara said irritated.
But why realize now, un?
He thought looking at the young attractive boy walking in front of Dei.
Sasori was yet another popular teen in his high school. Even though he had just been transferred, the girls were all over him saying how cute he was. However, the attractive boy really didn't care.
