Hurting

"Young master... what are you...?"

The last thing Sebastian expected to see when he opened the younger demon's study was said demon looking at the flowers that were potted on his window. The young master turned around and forced a grin on his face. That much was obvious to the butler.

"Nothing at all, Sebastian. I just felt... like ... it has been a while since I stopped and just smelled the flowers..." Ciel said dryly. "... as a matter of fact, it's been a couple of centuries, has it not? I truly need to start speaking like those... humans... my age do." his young face suddenly filled with disdain. "... I may not be a lord any longer but I will not be made fun of."

"Is that the issue you are dealing with now, young master?"

The butler walked over to stand behind the teen with a sigh.

"You should realize by now that you can squash them like bugs and make them your next meal... however, I do recall that you do not have a ... particular... need for that."

Ciel looked away from the flowers and at the older demon, seeing that familiar smirk back after what felt like such a long time.

"Oh my! Have you been hurting because of my disgust when it comes to feeding, Sebastian?" the young one asked. "I didn't know you had it in you!"

"Funny as it may be for you, young master, I am for-..."

"... drop it." the bluenet spoke flatly, causing the red-eyed demon to arch an eyebrow. "... it's been at least two centuries by now. You should know by first name very well by now for, like I said, I am not a lord anymore..." he looked uncomfortable. "... even if I do have some distasteful habits to get rid of."

"Very well." Sebastian chuckled. "As long as I do not have to chug you back home when you drink too much for your little body to take!"

"You wish." a smile formed itself on Ciel's face against his will as he gestured for Sebastian to take a seat across of him. "Has time really passed so fast?"

"Much like I told you before, a mere century or two means nothing to a demon such myself..." the black-haired man grinned. "... and yourself." he quietly reached out and took Ciel's hand. "I believe it is time for dinner now... Ciel."

"Very well..."

They were coping with their situation as best as they could. And it would have to do for now.

AN: It's been a while since I wrote a Black Butler drabble (or anything at all for that matter) so here goes!

Thank you for reading! :)
