Today is the day we're going to get married. The negaverse may be growing stronger but today it's only going to be you and me. Nobody else. I'm looking at the three dresses I had prepared for this day. It's a tough choice. What do you wear when you're finally going to be with the love of your life forever? It's only three hours til our ceremony but I have no maids attending to me. It's strange but I don't care. You are the only person that matters to me today. My heart pounds faster as I think of you. Maybe I should go for a walk to calm myself down. Maybe I should visit you. I open my door and my heart pounds faster. Blue eyes greet me.
"Endymion." Your smile warms my heart. I reach out for your hand but you pull back and smile.
"Not now. Today is a big day. Get ready. I'm waiting for you." You make me so happy. Does one deserve all this happiness? You smile at me again and walk away. Soon my darling. I get back to my original task and I pick the white dress with the white embroided roses. The one you loved so much. I put it on and I leave for the gardens. That's where we're getting married. Under the radiant light of the earth as if its blessing our union. I arrive and there is a lone figure. That's strange. Shouldn't the palace servants be preparing the gardens already? It doesn't matter. The details don't matter. What matters is you and me.
I sit down on a bench and wait. The figure comes towards me. "Serenity".
"Rei?" She looks concerned. "What's wrong?"
"I haven't seen you out and about for so long." Her words puzzle me. Why would I be out and about when I have such an important day to prepare for.
"I was getting ready". She looked at me and at my dress and sadness washed over her eyes.
"Oh Serenity. You better rest before the funeral today. You will need your strength". What was she talking about? Was she jealous? That's unlike her. Well it doesn't matter. Today is the big day. I let Rei take me back to my room and help me into bed.
I lie down and smile at her. Today I will be married to the man I love. We will be together forever.
