Emily stared at Hotch like he had grown a second head and said "What did you just say?"
Hotch laughed because this was the first time he has seen the woman he was in love with speechless. Then again Emily had no idea until now that he even loved her. When they first started this thing between them it was just for comfort but it had blossomed and before long he found himself in love with the woman he was bedding every night.
Hotch stared into Emily's eyes and said "I'm no longer in this for comfort or because I love the way your body feels under me. I'm in it for love Emily. I don't know when it happened and I really don't care when it happened. I also don't know how it happened and once again I don't care how it happened. The thing that is important is that I fell in love with you. I don't want to just take you to bed every night. I want to wake up holding you. I want to spend time with you out of bed. I love you Emily and I don't want to stop."
Emily's head was spinning with what she just heard. She felt as if every dream she has ever had, had just come true. The man she has loved for so long finally loves her back. Instead of saying anything to him she jumped into his arms and wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist and poured everything into the kiss that she felt.
