retro mania asked for this one. Here you go, Amigo! Enjoy!

A/N: This story is a combination of two "Little Mermaid" movies, one belonging to Disney and the other belonging to Golden Films. Golden Films "The Little Mermaid" has the mermaid's name as Lena, while Ariel is the Disney one. I own nothing in this story.

The Heart Never Misleads You

Lena browsed the flower gardens at her castle with a sigh. It was almost time for her wedding and she had wanted a moment to try and calm herself before getting ready. The wedding was in an hour, and all the preparations were ready, with the exception of her getting into her wedding dress.

She now sat down and smoothed her blue dress a little with her hands before seeing someone standing in the door of the gardens. "Queen Ariel," she said in surprise and stood to bow respectfully.

"Are you feeling well, Princess Lena?" Ariel asked gently.

Lena nodded. "Ariel, I'm worried," said Lena.

Ariel sat down beside the younger princess. "Feeling nervous about being a bride?" she asked gently.

"Yes, but also wondering if I did the right thing by falling for a human," Lena said.

Ariel smiled. "I felt the same way too before I married Eric," she said.

Lena looked at her. "I don't mean any offense, but how did you know it was right?" she asked.

Ariel smiled. "There was something Sebastian told me not long after my father allowed me to become human," she said. "He told me that the heart will never mislead me."

Lena thought about that. "What did he mean?" she asked.

The red-haired woman smiled. "When your heart knows the right path, it won't lead you wrong," she said. "And when you're on that right path, you can feel it."

The blonde-haired princess smiled. "Can you feel it when the man you love looks at you?" she asked.

Ariel laughed lightly and nodded. Lena smiled. "Then I made a right decision," she decided.

Just then, both heard the maids calling Lena's name and she noticed it was almost time for her wedding. "Oh, I'm not even dressed for my wedding!" she said worriedly.

Ariel kindly offered to help, which Lena gratefully accepted and they had her ready in a few minutes. And then, taking a deep breath, she walked down the aisle to the prince who had captured her heart and he smiled at her as they joined hands and waited for the minister to speak the official words.

Ariel smiled as she sat with Eric and her daughter Melody, who had brought Sebastian with them, keeping him hidden in her scarf. The crab smiled at Ariel. "I knew you didn't ignore some of my lessons," he said teasingly.

She smiled at him. "Because you were the best teacher," she said. He just smiled as they watched the beautiful ceremony of love filled the assembly with happiness and joy.
