This is my first one-shot and my first upload! I'm so excited to be sharing this!
I've noticed an extreme lack of Karako, so, though this isn't much, I'd like to contribute in any way I can. Enjoy!

We were going to escape together. We were going to expose this place, Deadman Wonderland, together. We promised each other that.
Yet, looking down upon my leader, I feel our pact shattering like glass. The shards glitter like the rain falling from the night sky above. Each droplet seems to create another cut, another scar.
"This...rain...is warm. I'm sure...a beautiful rainbow...will come out."
For the first time in a long while, I find that tears are streaming down my face and dripping onto the wood floor below.
He has closed his eyes and taken his final breath. My world collapses, becoming like the rubble around us. The one thing I was truly afraid of, losing him, has occured. The last person I could entrust anything to, has disappeared.
He'll never know my freedom. It will remain unfinished. He'll never know the true end to his story. It will remain unwritten. He'll never know how much much he really means to me. It will remain unfulfilled.
I know I'll have to leave without him, leave him behind. I can't imagine how I'll be able to do it, but it will happen all the same.
He will always be near, though. As long as I hear the bell's sound. As long as I hear it's chime, I can remember his smiling face and kind words.
