Haruhi knocked on the door of her neighbor's apartment almost relunctantly.
She shuddered visibly as the lightning and thunder struck lighting up the room with a big banging noise.
The door was opened by a light brown haired boy, who seemed startled by her presence.
"C-Can I stay over for the night?" Haruhi stuttered; she did not have any place to hide in her miniscule apartment.
"Why?" Hikaru could just not figure out why this young woman stood outside his apartment asking to be let in.
"I am missing my family and friends from just moving here, and I thought you could help me get through it." She just couldn't find it in herself to admit to her fear especially to a complete stranger.
"Kaoru, there's a strange girl at our door." Hikaru called out, unsure if he should really let this stranger in to his life and home.
"She looks lost. Let her in." Kaoru took sympathy on her, and allowed her in.
"Th-thank you." Haruhi murmured, and walked in.
The twins that lived there, ended up holding her between them that night, and kept her from seeing the lightning flash, and spoke quietly to her to stop her from listening to the thunder roar.
May be it was alright for them to let her in their lives, Hikaru thought.
