Angel's Gaze
I keep my strained eyes open,
To meet the angel's stare.
An interrogation into my soul,
To catch me unaware.
...
The hypnotizing gaze of stone,
No more the angel weeps.
Hunting prey across the cosmos,
Wolves among the sheep.
...
I cannot beg for mercy,
I cannot communicate.
I know I'm but one blink away,
From being cast into time's gate.
...
I can't hold it back, I blink but once,
And I'm thrown into the past.
The prey of a Weeping Angel,
A demon with sorrow's mask.
A/N
For what it's worth, it was actually watching The Impossible Astronaut and Day of the Moon that 'inspired' this. I think it was from my subconcious mind telling me that the Weeping Angels are still my favourite beasties that Moffat has created, even if the Silence is a damn close second...
