"Skipping school for a day or two? Touya, isn't that a little extreme?" Kishimoto asked, as he stood next to the first year at the bus stop they were both at. Akira shook his head vehemently, a disturbed expression on his face.
"Out of all the movies our class could have watched, it just HAD to be Spirited Away," Akira muttered, annoyed. "The minute that blasted Haku came on screen, every eye in the room turned toward me!"
Kishimoto chuckled in spite of himself. "Aren't you glad that you're known for something other than your Go skills?"
"Not particularly," he said under his breath. "I'm going to be called Haku for the next few months, I swear…"
Kishimoto sighed, pushing up his glasses. "You're being melodramatic, Touya."
"Am I? Kishimoto-sempai, has this ever happened to you?" Akira asked, sure that this query would make the Go Club chief see things from his perspective.
The taller boy mulled over the question for all of a second. "Every time I walk by a tennis court," he deadpanned. Pushing up his glasses again, he continued, "If I ever get five minutes alone with Konomi Takeshi, we're having a little talk on changing Tezuka's character design."
OMAKE
"Akira-kun!" a female voice rang out.
Akira turned around - to see Ichikawa driving up to the curb. "Ichikawa-san!"
"I was just driving by, and wanted to check if you needed a ride…" she trailed off, obviously hopeful.
Akira smiled. "Sure. Thanks," she told her, as he picked up his bag. "Need a lift, Kishimoto-sempai?"
The older boy shook his head. "No, but thanks for the offer."
Akira nodded, then stepped around the car to the passenger side. Looking back at Kishimoto, he couldn't resist.
"Until tomorrow, buchou," he said, a small smirk on his face.
Kishimoto, however, didn't miss a beat. "See you tomorrow, Haku-kun. Give Chihiro-san my regards."
Ichikawa looked confused. "Akira-kun…?" she asked, her eyes on his rather disgruntled expression.
"Draw?" Kishimoto asked, looking at Akira, a smirk on his face now. A sigh.
"Draw."
