Author's Notes:

Hey, thought I'd show my latest bit of writing, and give a quick update on The Horizon Chronicles to boot. The first thing I did when planning for The Horizon Chronicles was say "what did Code Lyoko get wrong?" Plot holes, logic errors, the works. The more you look at it from a writer's perspective, the more of them there are. Fans, being the wonderful creatures they are, are capable of theorizing their way through almost any oddity. That said, there are on occasion times when no amount of spinning will suffice. The below is one such time. All warm bodies on deck!

"Ulrich, no!" cries Jeremy as the final Lyoko Warrior is devirtualized. "Now Aelita's all by herself! The Scyphozoa is going to steal her memories!" Jeremy only peripherally notices the elevator opening behind him as the Scyphozoa appears in Sector 5. His eyes are only torn away when his chair is flipped around, bringing into view a grim Ulrich, Yumi, and Odd.

"Guys, what are we going to do!" he pleads. "We can't just let- Ulrich, what are you doing?" he asks, bewildered. Ulrich blots out his comrade's voice as he quickly searches Jeremy's front pockets, in total disregard for his private space.

"Found it," says Ulrich, tossing the notebook to Yumi. "C'mon, champ."

"Wait a sec, I'm talking to you? Why do- hey, Odd! Leggo!" He tugs to no avail. "Ulrich! Guys, this really isn't the time!" No response. "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU GUYS DOING!" he wails, head back in the air, as Ulrich and Odd both grasp him by the shoulders and midsection. Ulrich heaves Einstein over his shoulder, nearly capsizing under his weight, and Odd frantically tries to prop him up. Jeremy's glasses tumble off his face, and he only just manages to snag them with a pinky.

"Let's go," pipes up Odd.

Ulrich and Odd bound for the elevator with their half-mad captive in tow.

Upon reaching the elevator, Ulrich looks back past Jeremy's flailing feet at Yumi, who has slipped into the chair, Jeremy's notebook open. "You all set up here?" She nods, flipping another page, too absorbed in the text to verbalize her response.

Jeremy's eyes immediately expand to the size of baseballs. "Oh no. You wouldn't! Help! Oh, c'mon guys, no, noooooooooo!" he screams as the elevator door closes, and it descends out of sight (and earshot) of the control room.

-20 seconds later-

Jeremy Belpois is unceremoniously thrown inside the scanner tube by his allies turned traitors.

"It's your turn to save the Princess, Einstein," says Odd in false cheer. "Time to earn your keep. And who knows, it could be fun!"

The irate answer is garbled by the scanner casing. Probably fortunate, Odd reflects.

"Hey-uh, Yumi, you ready yet?" calls Odd.

"As long as five purple dots and a grey octagon is a good sign... yes."

Inside the scanner, Jeremy squeezes his eyes shut so hard his vision flashes.

I swear, I am going to kill you guys.
