"Simon?"

I slowly opened my heavy eye lids to find a seemingly 19-year-old Mareline standing beside my bed. I was in the hospital. "Marcleine?" Marceline nodded and a tear rolled down her cheek as I squeezed her hand. "You're back!" she wispered. The door to my room suddenly burst open and a pink girl, yellow dog, and a seemingly 12-year-old boy with a strange hat walked in. The pink girl was huffing and puffing. "We...came...as ...soon...as we ...heard," she gasped.

Marceline walked up to them. I sat up in bed, or at least tried to. "Guys, I want you to meet Simon, Simon meet Bubblegum, Jake, and of course, Finn." "Nice to meet you," I said, holding out a hand. Bubblegum took it reluctently, but the dog and Finn didn't even budge. I looked over at Marceline. "A lot has happened since the last time I've seen you," I said. Marcleine smiled and laughed. Bubblegum smiled sheepishly. I hope I never did anything to her while I had lost my mind...

"I'll be right back. Marcleine, will you come with me?" Marcleine nodded and they left the room. "I'll go and get you some broth Mr. Petrikov," the nurse said, walking off. Finn and Jake walked up to me. "Hi Finn and Jake. Um, I-" "Save it Ice King!" the dog said. "What?!" I didn't know to be more confused at the fact that the dog had just talked, or the fact that he called me the Ice King. "Yea. We know you're faking just to get Princess Bubblegum," Finn said. "Um, no... I just wanted to ask you what has happened since I've lost my mind. All I remember is meeting Marceline and then all I see is blackness."

The boy and dog turned to look at each other. Jake shrugged.

Everyday for three weeks, it was the same. Jake and Finn(sometimes not always Bubblegum and Marceline) would come over and tell me what has happened over the years. Some were good. Some were bad. The highlight of my day would be when they came over.
