Cindy banged her hands down on the keys of the piano. She was fed up with practising. She had missed out on hanging out with her boyfriend, Jimmy, and her best friend, Libby, and other friends Carl and Sheen. Her mother was pushing her hard on the upcoming Miss Teen Retroville, and Cindy truefully didn't even want to be in it. Of course she didn't let on to anyone.

Her friends knew she didn't want to do it. Jimmy had even suggested that he clone her, so she wouldn't have too. Cindy had considered this idea seriously, then remembered the Evil Jimmy Clone, that was still out there . . . somewhere . . . and decided against it.

But now she was thinking that maybe she should take the chance.

"Cynthia, I don't hear music," her mothers nasal, sing-song voice drifted into the room, and swirled around her head, entering her ears.

She gritted her teeth and started playing again.

"I'm sorry if I seem to be pushing you so hard, dear," Sasha Vortex said. "I just want you to succeed. Strive to be the best you can be," she told her daughter. Cindy sighed inwardly. 'How many times have I heard THAT speech?' she thought to herself.

When she had just about finished playing a knock came at the door. Cindy stopped. Her mother looked annoyed and walked toward the door. Cindy's watch vibrated on her wrist. She looked down at it.

"Cindy, are you ok?" Jimmy asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine," she told him.

"Libby's distracting your mom, meet you at your bedroom window," he said then her watch took on the look of a normal face. Cindy looked towards the door, and decided to take the chance. She knew she was going to hear about it later, but it would be worth it. She needed down time. Bad. So she quietly slid off the piano seat and snuck up the stairs as fast and quietly as possible, down the hall to her room, entered, and ran to the window. Jimmy was there already. She smiled. The best part of having a genius for a boyfriend was that he ALWAYS had a plan to set you free when trapped in some horrible, dire situation. As she was.

"Your twin sister, will be taking over for you today," he said pointing to her door. Cindy whirled around to see herself. Her mouth dropped open while her other self smiled. "And you and me have a date," he said smiling.

"Go on, Cindy, I'll cover for you," her other self said.

"Um, thanks," she said, then climbed onto the windowsill grabbing onto Jimmy. And off they flew. Cindy's clone went to the window and watched them, smiling softly.

"Cynthia! Where are you?" Sasha called.

"Coming, Mom!" she called back and walked down the stairs.

"Thank you Jimmy, I love you, I love you, I love you!" Cindy whispered in his ear, then kissing him on his neck. They were laying down on the couch in his lab, listening to music.

"No worries. I'd rescue you from anything," he whispered back. "I know you said no to the whole cloning idea, but I couldn't help it Cindy. It was to quiet around here without you. No one to argue with, no one to kiss, it was horrible!"

"Well I'm here now, so what did you want to argue about?" she asked.

"How beautiful, perfect and talented you are," he said smiling.

Cindy smiled and kissed him, completely surrendering herself to him . . .

Cindy's clone was pacing in her room when Cindy finally came home. She watched as Jimmy and Cindy kissed.

"How did it go?" Cindy asked.

"Fine," the clone said. "I had fun," she said smiling. "I like your mom,"

"Told you ya can't clone an exact replica no matter how hard you tried," Cindy said, turning to Jimmy and poking her tongue out at him. Jimmy rolled his eyes.

"Come on Cynthia," he said to Cindy's clone. He held his hand out to her and she happily took it and wrapped her arms around Jimmy's neck. "I'll see you tomorrow," he said to Cindy, then disappeared with her clone. Cindy sighed and flopped back down onto her bed.
