Confessions of a God

This is a this style of writing is a bit new to me but I've had this crazy idea in my head for such a long time, that I thought it was time for me to just roll with it.

I'll be writing this in short but sweet chapters so that I can manage my time.

Disclaimer: I definitely don't own Naruto

Introduction

In the darkness of the void sat a man and a woman. The man squinted his eyes at the fire before him and frowned. It was odd, the fire was not small by any means but it wasn't large enough to give off such intense light. Having been here for as long as he has, which he didn't really have a clue as to exactly how long the man and the man's wife has been here, nothing really changes, but his intuition tells him they had been here for a long time.

The man sighed. A very long time.

There were odder things than the overly bright fire. Like for instance, some indistinct amount of time ago, perhaps around the time the man first became aware of his surroundings, the man tried walking away from the fire, marking the direction the man went. The funny part was that no matter the direction the man went, the man would always arrive to the exact same place he started. The odd part was when the man first left and returned, the woman described the man's absence as being "a split second", the woman had told the man "You disappeared from view and reappeared almost instantaneously", and the man only sat down. Unable to explain to the woman, that the man's walks were longer than the woman would believe.

Even odder, there was no thermal energy being emitted from the fire... or anywhere else. The man had noted that there didn't seem to be a hot or a cold here. The man had also never once felt the need to eat or drink.

The oddest thing by far was the fire, when the man concentrated on a certain memory, the fire would show images depicting the memory. The woman had brought up the time when the man and woman first met. Images appeared in the fire and they shuffled sort of like a film real. The man noted that some of the clips were in first person and others in third.

The man sighed once again. Scooting close to the woman, the man pulled the woman close, turning to sit his chin on the top of her head. The man smiled slightly as the woman melted into the man's embrace.

Little did they know they were in for a surprise.
