He doesn't know how or when it happened but the little witch before him did something to his still heart. Did she place an enchantment on him? He never felt like this before. Maybe it's his host? Or is it something he ate? Dinner did taste a bit off tonight…
No, it can't be Kaleb… He's oppressing him at the moment. No, he just didn't want to eat roasted chicken… Maybe she did place a spell or a hex on him! Yes, she knows his secret… knows of his past. His insane family. But she forgave him for all that.
Thanks to her. He feels closer to his siblings, the ones he always ran to but was ignored, and that never happened. That is until she came along. He stopped causing mayhem to gain attention from them. All he had to do know say that he was off to see his little witch.
It's as if she rewired his way of thinking. Restarted all dead emotions he buried over the years. Showed him how to smile with sincerely and love. Touched him were someone has never touched him. In his heart and you know what he trusts the little witch with it.
Feeling a tug on his hand he looks down to see the little witch named Davina Claire. She gives him the biggest brightest smile that the pretty girl can only shine towards him. How she did it, it's irrelevant now. When; who the hell cares. All that does matter is that she's the one that activated his heart.
"How'd you do it?" He whispers as he pulls her into his embrace.
"Do what?" She buries her head into his chest.
"Activate my heart, love."
"The same way you reactivated mine."
"And how was that?"
"You smiled at me." She looks up at him with that radiant smile and winks at him. He quickly dives down to drown her with kisses. Giggles escape her full lips; with that he's happy and all he'll ever need.
