Disclaimer: I don't own Pokémon
Summary: What happens when May comes back from Sinnoh and who is there for her.
A.N. Poem is set in Drew's point of view and quite long as well.
--
Well why do I deny myself, my feelings.
Perhaps because we are so young.
Or is it because, I truly am.
Truly in love with her.
I hope she realises this.
After all I've time on side.
Burt she is far away.
But seeing her on the television screen.
Makes me believe she has never
Truly gone away.
Smiling to the crowd.
Of whom she is adored.
She had quite an applause.
One not to be ignored.
Yet she does not win.
But she smiles anyway.
Always so positive.
So full of her charm.
She cast me away.
I'm under her spell.
Her spellbinding beauty
That she illuminates
The wonder and awe
Her Pokémon
Now radiate
She is so far away
But I know she will
Be back
For she is merely
Gone on a holiday
In a way
An invitation from a legend
To gather at a contest
From Wallace
He is self professed
Calm as the sea
Somewhat similar to me
He would have to be
He sees the potential in May
Just like me
But we contrast
As folks do
He is romantic
But we love
Our Pokémon
But I love May too
The greatest I can see
Is everything that girl
Means to me
She is talented
And pure
And caring
And so sure
She is persuasive
And easily fooled
But she is special
She shines from within
And I am smiling
As I stare at the screen
In a room with
Harley and Soledad
Admiring her too
Yet I am waiting
They left me
To say
"Now Drew, go on to the docks
To meet your lovely May"
Harley did say
Soledad beamed
And just seemed to agree
So,
Here now at the docks
Waiting for her to come
I suddenly got tense
As the ferry soon came
Then I frantically called out her name
"May is that you"?
"Yes, yes it is
Yes it is me. Drew!"
She seemed to note of where I stood
I tried to console her loses
But in a mocking way
But she just slapped me
And began to move away
By on the corner of my eye
I could see her face
Ready to cry
I rushed over
My Roserade appeared
Pointing over to stall
I had Roserade to stall
As I purchase a bouquet
Full of red roses in all
Warping in red ribbon
Although her outfit had changed
She no longer wore red
But in my heart
It is alright
It said
I walk over
To My Roserade
Acting as a barricade
The look on my Roserades face
Made me afraid
Lightly I tap on her shoulder
I call her name a little bolder
I grab her hand
And spun her around
Facing tears that smiled at me
Suddenly looking bemused
As hand her the bouquet
"I didn't win.
I'm not wearing red"
"So these roses,
Are for you instead"
She looks confused and longingly
She then smiles happily
"Wow, Drew I guess you do care"
I smirk playfully
While flipping my hair
"Of course I do"
But more I wanted to say
But I just stood there
Accompanying her along
Telling her about the contests left
And the ribbons she needed to win
But she just smiles
And leaves with a grin
"I'll see you later, Drew
I have contests to win"
"Then I'll see you later, May"
I wave her goodbye yet again
Just to see her soon
Whether it be from a distance
Or close by somewhere
In my heart
I knew that she
Really cared
about me.
