Hello, everyone! It's nice to meet you. This is my new fanfic for the MMORPG known as Elsword. I do not own anything. Enjoy!
Prologue
3rd person POV:
The winter season was approaching Elrios and the group sat in a cold and dusty cabin in the woods. Elsword would sometimes come here to seek refuge from the rain after his training sessions, and yet now in was a hideout for them all. Earlier that day they had gathered in the forest to train their new powers, but the mood was quick to go sour and an argument broke out. Before they could part ways a heavy rain started and they sought refuge in the cabin Elsword had told them about. It's not like they could not leave, it's that they did not want to. The words that were said cut each of them deeply and every one of them wanted to apologize and yet, none had the courage or simply did not know what to say. And so, they sat there, dripping from the rain and shivering from the cold. Rain always brought out the calmest feelings in someone and they each calmed down and thought about all they had been through together. The choices they made that changed their lives, for each of them had unimaginable consequences. For some they were good and for some bad. The air was thick with contemplation and regret. Elsword looked up at the ceiling from his spot on the floor. The cabin was small and somewhat dilapidated, but still sturdy enough to keep out the water. The floor was covered in dust and the few pieces of furniture that existed in the cabin were old and shaky. The only thing that kept the place warm and light was the fireplace that Elsword had made. Raven and Chung were putting wood into the fire. Rena sat on the chair and her face looked like she was about to cry. Eve was standing next to Rena and trying to comfort her, but I could tell that she was off in her own world. Elsword was sitting in the corner of the room, nightmares plaguing his thoughts. Aisha was sitting next to him and trying to call him back to reality, but failing miserably. She was the only one that did not seem affected by the whole ordeal earlier that morning. Eve then quickly looked towards the door and took a fighting stance. Over the years she had gotten much stronger. Her hair was longer and she looked even more mature. She was taller and her costume made her look elegant. Eve's nasods flew closer to the door, only to be knocked down by a strong blow that burned the door down as well. Each of us stood up to fight and saw a hunchback figure in a black cloak that seemed to be a woman, judging from her hands and long hair. The aura that emanated from the old woman was extremely intimidating and would bring the average person to his knees. She easily brought down each of them with strange magic spells that she chanted in an unknown language. They were effortlessly bound to the ground with a spell. The magician once again was chanting and the each of them started to shine with a bright eerie light and they disappeared. The old woman transformed into a young girl with long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. She wore a long green dress and her body was covered in tattoos that looked like hieroglyphs. Her black cape was no more and the once menacing aura had become calming and peaceful, yet stayed strong. "Please save them, young ones, and take this opportunity I give you to right any choices that you regret and may your lives become remorseless and happy. My work ends here."
Elsword's POV:
I woke up with a start and became quickly aware of the fact that I was alone in the middle of nowhere. The surrounding area resembled a desert. There were no signs of life anywhere. The sun was not shining; in fact, the sky was covered with thick black clouds that made it seem as if it was nightfall already. The air had a foul smell, which made it not only unpleasant, but for some reason also hard to breathe. I got up and started to look around while calling the names of my friends.
"Raven! Chung! Girls! Anybody?!"
I walked around aimlessly for a bit, trying to find any signs that life existed in this strange plain I had found myself in. I saw a light in the distance, almost as if a star and started to run quickly towards it. When I came close enough to see what it was I saw the illuminated form of a young girl. She had long silver hair that was dancing in the wind. She was standing on a piece of a broken wall. I looked around her and saw that I had found a few broken houses and nothing more. I looked back to the girl. She was facing the other way, but something about her clothes seemed familiar. And then, she turned around, reveling herself to be none other than…
I edited this chapter a bit after a little advice I got from one of the reviewers. Anyway, enjoy and please no flames :)
