Hello young people, don't you fear.
The sorting hat is what you hear.
Put me on your head you should
And I'll decide where you will be put.
Slytherin belongs to those that are
Ambition and cunning is their art.
Achieve your goal with all means
And this is where I lie your genes.
Gryffindor for those that dare
Bravery and nerve is how they fare.
If chivalry is your game
You shall belong in that frame
Hufflepuffs for our loyal ones
Without fear of toil they learn their lessons
Friendship goes with the heart
So that is where you shall start.
Ravenclaws for your brains,
Knowledge and power lie in those lanes.
Do you Study hard and with pleasure
Then this is where lies your treasure.
I will find all you know
And put you in the houses I show.
Nothing stays hidden from me,
Youth, the sorting hat is what you see.
