The cool wind whipped his auburn hair into his face, and the salty smell of the ocean glided nonchalantly into his nostrils. Breathing deeply, Sora walked the long stretch of beach, his shoes leaving large imprints in the soft sand behind him. His crystal blue eyes take in the scenery around him, as if memorizing every detail of his surroundings. The green palms of the coconut trees seem to dance in the breeze, welcoming him home. He walks on, determined to reach his destination. As he brushes his wild hair from his face, Sora's eyes scan the sand in front of him, searching desperately for her. Where is she? Could she be gone? How? A small figure appears over the horizon, a miniscule pink jewel hovering above the endless abyss of the tan granules of dirt.
Kairi? He squints, and begins to jog…run…sprint.
"Kairi!" he screams unsure of his voice.
"Sora!" a barely audible shriek sounds from in front of him. He runs on, ecstasy burning inside of him, eating away at his being. The pink dot bounces, as if coming towards him. As he nears it, more colors appear. Cinnamon hair…tan skin… and finally, lavender eyes. As he reaches her, he spreads his arms wide, admitting her to go into them.
"Sora…I love you." Kairi whispers, tears leaking from her purple orbs. Sora smiles, and embraces her tighter still.
"I love you too, Kairi. Forever and for always."
