This one shot has been playing in my head for some time now. and i finally got the chance to write. This one shot was inspired by Lucia's song 'Yours'. Hope you enjoy. -JasZ
Davina Claire is the name of the one he loves. The one that has filled his life with colors he always assumed he would be immune too. Yet he fell for the petite witch. You can say that was his down fall.
She's headstrong and protective of her friends and family. She has the same goal as he once did. How he wants to sweep her up and kiss away her trouble. To tell her she's safe and he's there for her.
To relive the times they ran about the quarter hand in hand. Facing the problems that are unleashed. But to have her in his arms is all he really wants. To sooth her troubles.
His untimely second death has robbed them of any means of future adventures. Yet he doesn't regret meeting her. She brightens his dark world. His little ball of sunshine is what she is. But he knows her light is dimming.
He's the reason… she took the offer of regent to get him back… they were so close to being reunited. His own kin…His family robbed him of that! Robbed him of properly courting Davina in his proper body. They lead her to learn more of the dark arts… something he wished she never taken part of.
Now he watches as she stumbles down a path he once walked. A dark path he wished he could tell her not to tread. All he can do is watch.
Watch as she's tricked into a confession. The connection they once shared being severed all because she was defending herself. How he stood in stunned silence as she was shunned from the covens. His sunshine is getting clouded. She is losing her shine.
No matter what he does or screams to the ancestors. They ignore him. He's fighting for her. For what is his. Bitterly he vows to punish each coven that turned their back on Davina. They no longer share a connection. But that doesn't mean he can't silently watch her. No matter what they tell him... how they torture him... He goes to her.
As she sleeps Kol goes back to his habit of invading her dreams where she can see him. Hold one another and speak freely. A place where he can comfort her by telling her that they can all bite it.
"I'm here, Davina. Always and Forever. Remember that. I'm yours just as you are mine." That eases her troubled thoughts and raging emotions. This lets her forget of everything in reality and allowing them to be together in her dreams.
'Yours…' Just like the letter he hid for her to find…
'Mine' he hears her whisper in their embrace…
