So I absolutly loved the wedding, but I was really upset that Peyton didn't come back. ): I wanted that so much that I wouldn't have even cared if they made someone other than Hailie play Peyton just for one episode. Anyways just thought I'd make a one shot of how I thought the scene with Peyton and Brooke should have gone. Let me know what you think (REVIEW).
Love Anernerk
"Does anyone have reason for these two to not marry," the Priest asked the people gathered in the church.
Brooke knew that no one would say anything, today was her day and no one was going to ruin that, but as the big front door of the church swung open she couldn't help but worry that something was going to go wrong. As she saw the figure walk further into the church, she felt a wave of complete awe fell over her.
"I do," Peyton said, as she continued to walk done the aisle. "They're still missing one person on their guest list."
"P. Sawyer," Brooke whispered softly as if her best friend was only a figment of her imagination.
"Hey B. Davis," Peyton said, walking up to Brooke and Julian at the altar. "Sorry for making a scene. I know I'm a little late, but I couldn't let my best friend get married without me."
Brooke pulled Peyton into a hug and held her tightly. "I'm so happy you're here Pey," Brooke smiled through tears as she released her from the hug.
"Me too Brooke," Peyton said with glistening eyes.
"Hi. Sorry for interrupting," She said, giving Julian a quick hug. "It's no biggy. I'm just glad you could make it," Julian smiled.
Peyton walked off the alter, giving Hailey's hand a quick squeeze before taking a seat next to Nathan.
~The Reception~
"Luke would have been here, but we didn't want to take Sawyer on a plane just yet," Peyton smiles.
"It's okay, I don't blame him. Plus today was about Brooke and Julian. I mean I miss my brother, but I'll survive," Nathan chuckles, leaning against the wall.
"You should call him. I know he misses you," She says, taking a sip of her soda. Hailey walks over, well waddles over to them.
"Look at you Hailes, are you carrying a baby in there or a watermelon," Peyton chuckles softly.
"Haha very funny," Hailey smiles wrapping her arms around Nathan. "You know it would have been nice to see my best friend too."
"I know, I'm sorry. He wanted to stay home with Sawyer," Peyton says.
"It's okay. I guess I can forgive him this once," Hailey smiles. Brooke walks up to the group and places her hand on Peyton's shoulder.
"Wanna dance," She asks holding out her other hand. "Absolutely Mrs. Baker," Peyton smiles taking her hand.
The two walk to the middle of the dance floor. They start to dance to I'll Stand By You by Gina Glocksen.
"I've missed you so much Peyton. You don't know how much crap I've had to deal with this past year," Brooke says as tears start to form in her eyes.
"I've missed you too. And I'm so sorry that I wasn't here for you. I should've been," Peyton sighs as tears take over her eyes too. "I promise you that I'm not leaving you ever again."
"What do you mean," Brooke asks pulling away slightly.
"Well Lucas and I have been talking and we've decided. We're moving back to Tree Hill," Peyton smiles. Brooke's smile grows and she quickly pulls her friend into a tight hug.
"I love you P. Scott," She says as tears stain Peyton's shoulder. "I love you too B. Baker," Peyton says.
Friends Forever by Mandy Moore begins to play and Peyton twirls Brooke around as they laugh.
This is the start.
The start of yet another new beginning.
