Topaz Eyes.

Dancing laughter runs through the halls,

But then, when I looked,

I saw not where it came from.

As it echoed around me,

I realised just how alone I was,

Surrounded by this massive crowd.

I didn't know anyone here,

I was alone, even in this mass,

Then I saw something that gave me hope.

I saw a pair of topaz eyes,

Looking in my direction,

They shifted from me when I noticed.

I stepped beyond the empty room,

And was swept away by strangers,

The people who I'd sat with in class.

The ones who said hello,

We sat together at a table,

In the cafeteria.

They chattered away,

And once again I saw,

Those topaz eyes on me.

He didn't look away this time,

And I knew that he,

He would be my friend, maybe.

I asked who he was,

His name was remarkable,

He is Edward Cullen.
