Episode 8: Hannah Levy- Israeli Clone
At last, the clones who were in need of it could start receiving gene therapy. It's a long process which involves deactivating a virus such as HIV and programming it with the new gene in order to reboot their entire genetic map. Cosima obviously was the first to go under trial because she was the weakest. Even better, three other Leda clones were tracked down. Caroline Bowen of Australia, Marlie Bowers of Indiana, and Lucy McAvoy of Scotland. As soon as the trial was pronounced successful on Cosima, the rest of the clones who were in need would undergo the treatment. Hannah felt unnerved yet grateful. It was such an odd combination. She had never known she was a clone. She had grown up an only child, a happy, privileged life. She had served in the military for a few years but not in combat because all her tests had labeled her with a medical condition. She always felt healthy but now she knew, it was the polyps on her lungs. Hannah was successful though, in the intelligence unit. That was where she met her boyfriend, Kovi Mizrahi. A tall, handsome man with olive skin and a five o'clock shadow. Though, he had been acting strange for the last year and a half. Hannah once woke up to a bunch of strange men hovering over her and there were electrodes all over her body. One was even lodged in her throat. She always wondered what that was about. Kobi was her monitor. Why hadn't the obvious been seen? But she didn't know at the time, she brushed it off as being one of the strangest dreams she had. Hannah had always been naive and a big fan of horror and sci-fi. "I-I don't know what to do, my boyfriend had been my monitor back in Tel Aviv, should I tell him I know?" she asked Cosima, when she visited her and asked her how she had been feeling. Cosima felt okay that day. "Just be subtle about letting him know, it was the same for me and Delphine but we talked it over and now we're like two peas in a pod", she said. "Maybe when I go back to Israel", said Hannah. After all, long distance calls are expensive. Alison was there too. "He probably doesn't even know what he was monitoring you for", she said, patting her on the shoulder. "I don't know, he was in the army, they know everything", said Hannah, her voice darkening. Then, she got up, ran outside, and burst into tears from the shock of it all.
