Red Blood
Author's Notes: I don't own Uglies.
I slowly draw the red blade into my skin.
This is it. With this cut, I, along with some other Pretties, will find a cure of our own. Even without Tally's pills.
I finish drawing the red blade into my skin, and I feel icy. I feel like this feeling has been inside me forever, just waiting to get out.
Now, my future is red.
The red blood starts to come out, and the mark left behind is red too.
I watch as all the other Pretties take their red blades.
Now they'll feel icy too.
Now they'll feel… red.
