AN: I wrote this for SilhouettedStarlight21, Red Wine Challenge, it's not great but I decided to change the pregnancy motif around just a little bit.

ANNNYWAAAAAY

Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight, if I did Jacob would never have been with Nessie

She stared at the bottle sitting right in front of her, the dark red liquid lay still just as it had for the last nine months.

Look don't touch

That had been her own personal mantra for the last nine months and despite the fact that she missed the liquid she had been content with the idea. But now there was no point to it, everything that she really had to live for was gone. Her hand ran over her stomach, it wasn't flat like it used to be, but it also didn't have the perfectly round shape that it had only a week ago. Her black dress was too big for her, she had yet to take her clothes before maternity out, she couldn't take it out yet.

She hadn't been able to stay at the funeral; she didn't even bother to look at the name plate. It hurt too much to see Baby staring right back at her, to know that there was a life she never got to learn. He was there of course but she was with him, to comfort him, because obviously he needed more comfort than she did. Seth couldn't come to help her, he had tried so hard, but it was finals week and he couldn't just leave, she wanted him to graduate college after all.

The birth had been silent, nothing but her own screams as she pushed the lifeless body into the world. He hadn't even bothered to hold her hand; he had just stood in the corner and glared, as if it had been her fault that the child held by the doctors didn't make a sound.

Jacob Black, he would have been a good father.

Leah knew that Jacob would have made time for their baby, for Leah and her baby, because he couldn't just throw his child away because of Her, his imprint.

But now, as Leah opened her bottle to start off her first glass of the blood red substance, she knew that he wouldn't come around her house again. It was like déjà vu, the same mantra, different tabo.

Look but don't touch, Leah

Look but don't touch: Jacob Black.
