Trials of Time

Dominaria was not the only location of catalclysmically caused time rifts. Left unsealed, the rifts will consume the multiverse. Jace Beleren, aware of the iminent danger, summons help. Now it's up to The Doctor and Jace to save the multiverse. UPDATE: I originally wrote this for class, and hadn't planned on updating it, but as there's demand I will be continuing the story.

(This story takes place immediately following Doctor Who "The Big Bang")

Chapter 1

"Don't worry about a thing your majesty, we're on our way" said The Doctor, who immediately hung up the phone and fired up the TARDIS' engines.

Meanwhile…

"Master Jace, are you sure this is going to work?" said the Acolyte as he etched the final details into the circle.

"The Consortium has devoted all of its resources into making sure it does" replied Jace.

The Acolyte wondered briefly what was going through Jace's mind, but he knew it was dangerous to let one's mind wander when near a telepath, so he quickly returned focus to the task at hand. He signaled to the other Acolytes to move into position around the circle, and they began chanting.

The TARDIS was never one for smooth flying, considering her age, thought The Doctor, but she was only ever this rough whenever someone had taken control of her, he knew this couldn't be good.

"Doctor, what's happening? We've never been thrown around like this before!" Shouted Amy.

"I don't know, but hold, GERONIMO!" he replied, and they fell over just as the TARDIS came to a stop.

"Where are we?" chimed Rory.

"Let's have a look" said the Doctor, flipping on the screen. He stared inquisitively at the robed figures surrounding the TARDIS, their eyes and hands glowing in a strange, blue energy. He noted particularly the figure standing off to the side, dressed in a blue hooded cape with intricate white lines and circles, blue hair, and markings on his face. He runs to the door, swinging it open and pokes his head out.

"Hello, I'm the Doctor, and who might you be? … oho, you're a telepath, magnificent. I could sense you trying to read my mind, but I would recommend you don't, a lot of stuff floating up there regular people shouldn't see, don't know what it'd do to you. Just one question, one question really, why'd you bring us here?"

"I'm Jace Beleren, a telepath as you observed, and the leader of the Infinite Consortium here on Ravnica. You were summoned here to help us; at least the spell was designed to summon the one being in the multiverse most able to help. What do you know about time rifts?"
