The smoke disintegrated in the air,
Dissipated, like my worries.
For I had none.
I had all the time in the world.
Living a carefree life,
Until someone came along.
Someone who I would thank later,
For having the decency to let me prove myself.
To prove that I was more than what people said I was.
I was forced off my feet,
To explore a world I didn't know existed.
I struggled, I fought, I endured.
I survived.
In a company of strangers, I was afraid of losing my feet,
Not knowing where I might be swept off to.
My life no longer consisted of good food and the comforts of home.
It had become a mysterious journey,
Filled with riddles in the dark.
But that turned out to be quite okay.
Because there wasn't a single thing on earth,
That was better than adventure.
