I'll see you in the Rain
I stand there in the rain, my hood drawn over my jet black hair. I wait for him. After many years of asking, i finally came. I look down at my shoes. i think of the last words he said to me, I'll see you in the Rain, Rae. Then, i sigh unexpectedly. Then i hear foot steeps. I don't look up.
"Rae?" He whispers
I look up, unfazed by him. I stand up and stare at him in the eye. Well. almost. In the 5 years of not seeing him, he grew taller and more muscular. Even in the pitch black darkness, i can see his smile glowing.
"So you finally show up." he says
"i'm here aren't i?" I reply
"Tell me, Rae, why did you show up after years of me asking?"
I remain silent.
"Please tell me, Rae." He whispers
I narrow my eyes and fold my arms.
"Please, Rae" he whispers once more
"Stop it. Stop it now!" I hiss "You called me that as a child, a teen, Beast Boy. I'm not some sad, lonely girl whose father is a demon and mother is in Azarath, nor is my name Rae. It's Raven."
He gives a small laugh and steps closer. I step back.
"Rae, let me hug you. I haven't seen you in like... 5 years." He slightly raises his arms.
I sigh. I must be really stupid, I think. I walk into his arms. He wraps his arms around me. I do the same. He smells, slightly, like pizza and cologne. Odd combination, but it smells good.
"Rae." He whispers
"Stop calling me that, Gar." I whisper back.
He laughs for a moment, but stops and wraps his arm around my waist.
he smiles at me. I give him a half smile. I see him lean in and i do the same. We both kiss, for a moment. Then we both pull away. We're both soaked, but i ignored that.
"See, Rae? I saw you in the rain." He smiles once again.
I laugh a little, as he leads me to the tower, back home,
AW! God, that was cute. Well, to me. I'm so cheesy! Oh well. Anyway, i hope you liked this story. This struck me in math class. I have no idea why, but it did. By the way, my new story is either going to be called Prom Year or The Senior Prom. You can tell from the titles the story is going to be about prom. Tell me which one you like better. Anyway, BYE!
