"Frisk…don't you have anything better to do?" Asriel Dreemur, the son of King Asgore Dreemur asked.

The golden flowers that broke Frisk's fall from Mount Ebot were slowly blooming again. Sunlight was shining from above as Asriel stared at them. His body was weak. Using the remaining energy he had left, he stood before the golden flowers with the human, Frisk, beside him.

"Frisk, why are you still here?" Asriel spoke with a shaky voice, holding back his tears from his friend.

"These golden flowers are beautiful, aren't they?" Frisk avoided the question by giving a different reply. Their head turned slightly to look at Asriel.

"Yes, they are." Asriel replied with a slow nod while his hand quickly wiped off a tear from his eye.

"Hey, Asriel."

"Yes, Frisk?"

"Monsters aren't the only one that makes mistakes, human does too!"

Asriel lowered his chin. His eyes closed smaller. And still, with a sad frown.

"You may have done things that you think it is unforgivable, but everyone deserves a second chance. And sometimes, it takes a friend to show you the right way."

Asriel's eyes shut tight, but his tears eventually escaped his eyelids and rolled down his cheek. He felt weaker and decided to sit down, his hands hugging his knees to his chest with his face buried in between. This was for the first time, someone had been so nice to him. To be forgiven of all the bad things he did, to be friends with a human who he tried to hurt, and still to be accompanied in his last moment before turning back into a flower. Asriel could not hold back his feelings and burst into tears. He might as well show his true feelings since he might not have the chance to do it anymore after losing his real form. A mixture of emotions overwhelmed his heart, Asriel felt both very sad and happy at the same time. Cries filled the quiet chamber. Frisk smiled as they sat down beside Asriel and placed an arm around him. Asriel once again felt himself being consoled by Frisk as he leaned closer into them. He wished that this moment could last although he knew it wouldn't, but he was happy that it happened. Frisk could not help but to cry along with him, knowing of all the pain and suffering Asriel had been through, and to finally have a friend that he had wanted.

The ray of light now shines wider onto the golden flowers and onto Asriel and Frisk. Asriel's body began to glow. Small white particles floated around him and Frisk as he was slowly losing his appearance. Asriel looked up into Frisk's eyes with a genuine smile. His arms wrapped around Frisk for one last hug as Frisk returned the warm hug tightly. They both held each other close until Frisk could no longer felt Asriel physical form. They opened their eyes, and all they could see was bright dust particle hovering around the golden flowers. Frisk stood up and wiped their tears off.

"Thank you, Frisk!" A faint voice echoed throughout the chamber. Those were the last words that Frisk heard from Asriel. Frisk nodded and returned to the broken barrier where their friends were waiting.
