Hi everyone. Yeah, it's a new story. My other one isn't really popular now, and I don't think anyone read it yet - except me. So I want to write another RS fanfic. Even if you don't play Runescape, this should still be easy to follow..Please read and rate! I will write another chapter once there are comments.

I do NOT own Runescape, but I own Darian, Marriot, Ma, and Pa.

I couldn't sleep last night, since I was to excited to sleep, eat, drink, or even do anything, really, because I knew that Darian would come. He would visit us for the first time in a little bit more than a year. Darian is eighteen years old, and he is quite pale from working in the mines for a long time. Actually, he only started working there when he was fourteen, four years ago. Darian always visits us each year. I love it when he comes.

Another reason I'm so excited is because, well, Darian always brings gifts like cake, pies, and wine for pa, and all kinds of delicious foods. And also because he always gives me a gift. It's always something different from before, and it's always something that I like. I don't know how Darian knows what I like. I mean, sure we're siblings, but he always seems to know what I think, and like. That's what we're so close, I suppose.

Whenever he comes, I can even feel it. He never tells us, but I always know when he's coming. I just know. So I walk outside early in the morning (Darian always comes early to visit us no matter what), and sit under the tree near our house, the one that I always train on. I always wanted to become an archer, and I always train my accuracy on the tree. Darian says I'm good, but I'm not really sure if he's telling the truth, or saying that because he's my brother. Ma and Pa say that too.

"Marriot!" A voice calls me, and I turn around in surprise. "Come in," Ma says, opening the door. She always tells me to go in the house whenever I'm outside waiting for Darian.

But I always go inside with her, reluctantly. And always, Darian opens to the door, grinning as wide as he can go. "Darian!" I shriek as I run toward him. He hugs me into his big bear hug. As my face is buried against his chest, I can smell him. He smells good, as always.

"I took a bath in the river," Darian replies, smiling, like always. "I could never visit my lovely family without taking a bath."

I smile, glad to see him back again. Pa and Ma hug Darian, as we sit down. There aren't any tables in our small home, since we aren't rich enough to afford them. We use wooden crates as chairs and tables. "Close your eyes," Darian says, walking outside. I cover my eyes with my hands, wanting to peek, but I do not want to ruin the surprise. "Now open."

Ma, Pa, and I open our eyes and gasp. The wooden-crate-table is covered with foods I have almost never eaten before. I laugh in excitement. Ma and Pa smile at each other. There are jugs and buckets filled with milk, water, and wine. On the side, there are two trout, a chicken, and lettuce. "Oh, we'll never finish this," Ma says, but she is still smiling.

"As long as you are happy," Darian sits down next to me, and smiles at me.

I smile back. "I was not able to cook this though," Darian says. "So I'll cook it here."

I am glad that we were able to afford a range. But the range is old, so we were able to buy it for cheaper. "That's perfect," Pa says.
