"Tea, Hinata?" Shino offered, the brown kettle in his hand.
"Y-yes, please..." She whispered, handing him the matching cup.
'Oh yeah Shino, smooth operator!'
He pass her the cup gently, a small smile on his face. "Would you like sugar, or do you prefer black?"
"S-sugar..." She replied, returning the smile.
'That's right Shino! Give her some sugar!'
He placed the yellow sugar packet beside her spoon, his hands trembling nervously.
"So," He hoped to start a conversation earlier, but then again it was now or never. "I see you've become a bit faster."
She blushed and nodded, "T-training with y-you and K-Kiba Kun is very h-helpful."
His eyes wandered around the room, disappointed that he was too shy to talk about anything else.
'Come on Shino, come on!'
"Did your hair get longer, Hinata?"
"I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!" Yelled a rather angry voice.
The two turned to see a raging Kiba Inuzuka, eyes twitching and fist crushed.
"Kiba?" The two said in unison, oblivious that he had been watching their date the whole time.
"I came here to see some bug boy on shy girl action, and all I get is some tea and crumpets?!"
"Bug boy...?" Shino looked rather offended by his rude comment.
"FORGET IT! I'M OUTTA HERE!" He shouted, walking away with Akamaru, barking at his heels.
"How strange..." Hinata whispered, laughing slightly.
Shino gave a small chuckle, "Strange is Kiba's middle name."
Hinata broke into giggles and landed on his chest, her last laugh fading into his jacket.
"Sh-Shino Kun..." She gasped, her cheeks turning a vivid pink.
The boy took a packet of cookies that she had brought from home and said, "Crumpet?"
She began to giggle again and took the small cookie from his hand, "Shino..."
"Yes, Hinata Chan?"
"D-did you get n-nicer?" She was trying to joke around with him, but was surprised when he kissed her lightly on the head.
"Being with you is very helpful."
