Spending Time With You

Songstone: Well, I had a cute idea, but I doubt that I'm going to do it. XD I wanted to write 365 drabbles about Lee and Gaara for everyday of the year. Maybe, if I keep these drabbles up then I'll actually finish 365 chapters. XD Anywho, I probably won't leave any more author's note in the later chapters so I might as well talk it up! XD But in short, please enjoy and tell me what you think. (And yes, these drabbles are meant to be excruciatingly short. XD)

1: Reason Enough

"Lee?" The Kazekage's voice brought the taijutsu master out of his own thoughts and made him look towards the person who had called his name.

"Yes?" He asked, smiling down at the redhead who was eating lunch right besides him. He resisted the urge to call him 'Kazekage-sama' like he usually did when they were in public, opting to address his lover by his given name. "Gaara?"

The younger man sighed and placed the cup of tea that he had been holding onto his desk. He slowly turned to face the ebony haired man and then crawled closer to him on his knees. Once he was right in the other's face, Gaara closed the distance between their mouths and kissed Lee once, long and lovingly. Or, about as lovingly as Gaara of the Desert could manage. He tasted the mayonnaise on Lee's lips from the sandwhich he had been munching on, but ignored it. He sat back on his heels after a moment and simply licked the sticky sauce away.

Lee's face, of course, had gone ten shades of red and he had somehow lost his grip on the food he had been holding, allowing it to fall down and land right on his lap, where the mustard and ketchup left nasty stains on his spandex. "W-w-what brought that on?" He asked in a hushed voice, touching his fingers to his lips lightly.

But Gaara had already returned to his lunch, sipping the warm ginger tea and biting down on his own sandwich. However, he felt that Lee deserved an answer that explained the Kazekage's strange actions. So, he looked up at Lee and gave him his reason.

"I love you."
