Chapter one:
"Kiba, Kiba! Wake up already."
From the sudden pull on my arm that I recieved, my eyes narrowed into a slit, opening slowly as possible for the fact that the lack of sleep has finally cought up to me. Bringing my arms up above my head, stretching and reaching for nothing but the air, I let my back crack as the stiffness of my bones had finally loosened.
"B-Blue, is that you?"
I said in a whisper tone as my eyes finally opened fully, gazing up at the figure that was ontop of me, and noticing her bright smile also made me smile, for a reason I do not know. But I do know, everytime I see her I always get butterflys.
"Yes Kiba, It's me, and it's time for us to go. So get up, we need to meet up with the rest of the pack before we finally get one step closer to what we always wanted. You don't want them to leave us behind again, now do you? You remember what happened last time."
Remember what happened last time, what did happen? I thought to myself, getting into a daze as I stared past her at the sky. Thinking. It was our first mission, our one true shot at success. But everything went wrong that night, it was the night we lost Hige. I still remember all the rounds that shot into his chest, his faithful fall into the field of flowers. Everyone of us saw his downfall and everyone of us, were stunned. Hige... my mind shot from one scene to the other, me and Blue were snuggled up in a corner in our wolf form. Feeling comfort in eachother, as the rest seperated incase any of "Them" came and looked for us once more. They were the only block in our dream. Our desire to be human, and only human. There was nothing bad about being half wolf, but being half wolf does have its disadvantages. We can't walk among them so safely, in their eyes we are nothing but savage beasts-by the time I realized it I was snapped back into reality by Blue, I could see the concern in her eyes. She wrapped her arms around me so suddenly, the kindness in her heart and the warmth of her embrace made me sink into her arms even more; wrapping my arms around her as I returned her hug. I pressed my chest against hers, wanting to speak those three words I have always wanted to say to. But I could not.
And all I did, was cry in her arms, as if I wanted to be saved by myself, just once.
That night ~
Gosh, it sure is colder then usual outside, espically at a time like this. I slipped my hands into my jacket pocket, watching the humans just live their perfect lives. Oh how I wish I was like them but I know-
"KIBA! HELP!"
My ears twitched, as the coat of my white fur swept against the breeze, hearing Cheza's voice set a twist in my stomach. I stared, as she was being chased.
By one of them and it was my time, to get one step closer to what I always wanted.
