Five years, three months, two weeks, and five days after Steven Universe's death.
"How's our favorite little gemling?" Pearl cooed. The house was being refurbished for the new gemling, which was why Connie and Rose live at Connie's parents. Greg had passed down his van to his daughter-in-law, now twenty four. That was where the gems gathered around, on the beach outside of the Temple.
"She's really excited to come live with you." Connie said. Said daughter, dressed in a skirt and T-shirt, blushed shyly. "It's all she talks about."
"Well, we are all excited for Rose to join us." Lapis said, settling down next to Amethyst. Peridot, today forgoing her limb enhancers, nodded her agreement.
"Hey, do you want to show them what you've been learning?" The woman whispered to her daughter. Rose nodded, starting to strum her little ukulele. Everyone gave a start at the familiar chords.
"If you're evil, and you're on the rise

We'll win the fight and then go out for pizzas."
Slowly, everyone started to clap or snap their fingers.
"We Are the Crystal Gems

Slowly, everyone began to sing along. Connie held back, tears in her eyes.
"That's why the people of this world believe in..."
"Garnet!"
"Peridot."
"Amethyst!"
"Lapis."
"And Pearl."
"And Rose!"
Pearl took over singing.

When we arrived on Earth, from out beyond your star

Everyone sang.

Garnet smiled as she sang. "I will fight for the place where I am free! To live together and exist as me!"
Pearl stood up and twirled. "I will fight in the name of Rose Quartz! And everything she believed in!"
Amethyst nodded. "I will fight for the world I was made in! The Earth is everything I've known!"
"My turn?" Lapis whispered. She received several nods. "Alright. I will fight for the place where people are free! The Earth is better than Homeworld!"
Peridot sighed, standing up. "I will fight in the name of Steven Universe! And everything he loved."
Rose grinned. "I will fight to be everything that everybody wants me to be when I'm grown!"
Connie joined in this time as everybody sang. "The odds are against us, this won't be easy, but we're not gonna do it alone!"
