Disclaimer: This is complete and total FICTION. That means it never happened and is completely untrue. In fact, this is so far from the truth that it isn't even in the same country as the truth. I don't own anybody: Big Time Rush, the characters, and all referenced scenes belong to Nickelodeon, and I make no money off of this. I am not in any way implying said characters' sexual identities.

Ms. Collins had given them a writing assignment: write a short essay on what you love. Carlos was excited; he started scribbling away.

Why I Love Corndogs

By: Carlos Garcia

Corndogs. Where do I begin? From their juicy hot dog center to their delicious breaded covering, they are nature's best food (I may be biased here, but it's my story and I'm sticking to it). They're easy to cook: just place them on a pizza pan (or cookie sheet) and heat the oven, and cook according to the directions on the box (Yes, I have it memorized by heart: cook at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and done). Carefully remove them from the oven and serve. They taste ok with ketchup; I personally like mine smothered in ranch dressing or fry sauce (Thousand Island dressing works if you don't have fry sauce).

In conclusion, corndogs are the best thing on earth, and I'd eat them every day for every meal if I could.

Carlos finished his essay, looked it over for any typos or errors, and then turned it in. He was proud of himself; he didn't need Logan's help spell-checking or looking for grammatical errors this time.

When Ms. Collins handed back the essays two days later, Carlos turned his over to find an "A" on it. He read the little Ms. Collins had added.

Carlos, nice job. And you're right; corndogs are good smothered in ranch dressing. Keep up the good work!

Somehow, he managed to keep from freaking out (school wasn't his strong point), but when he got home, he showed the paper to Mama Knight, who put it on the fridge.

The guys teased him about it, but it was all in fun; Carlos said, "Maybe I'll just think of corndogs all the time now when I'm doing schoolwork. It'd work for all the subjects."

"Hey Carlos, what's two minus one?" Kendall asked.

"One. Why?"

"Cause I'm stealing your corndog." Kendall said as he grabbed it and ran away.

"Oh no you're not. It's on!" Carlos chased after Kendall. And just like that, life in 2J was back to normal.
